In 2019, my life took an unexpected turn. A concussion brought me into stillness, a space I hadn’t truly known before. Healing from this injury was challenging in ways I couldn’t have anticipated, physically, emotionally, and mentally. For nearly two years, I worked through complicated and persistent symptoms that forced me to slow down, face my limitations, and confront parts of myself I had long neglected. It was a journey that required me to peel back layers of people-pleasing, lack of boundaries, and unaddressed trauma. For the first time, I was getting to know myself beneath everything I’d been carrying for so long.
But amidst it all, I was still battling a familiar and constant struggle, insomnia. For over 20 years, insomnia haunted me daily, bringing stress, anxiety, and a profound exhaustion that touched every part of my life. I had tried countless remedies and solutions, but nothing seemed to truly work.
Then, in 2021, I discovered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). This approach transformed my relationship with sleep in ways I hadn’t thought possible. Conquering insomnia felt liberating; I could finally rest without anxiety, something I hadn’t imagined was possible for me.
This healing journey sparked a calling I couldn’t ignore. I felt drawn to help others find the kind of peace and clarity I was discovering. In 2022, I followed this pull, becoming certified as a Holistic Life Coach and Mind Body Practitioner, equipping myself to guide others on their own path to wholeness. I launched Crossroad Journey Home, a practice dedicated to helping women reconnect with their authentic selves.
But as much as I loved this work, I realized my own journey was still unfolding. Years of healing, single motherhood, career-building, and intensive training had left me exhausted. I needed time, not away from my purpose, but to rest, rediscover joy, and reconnect with myself more fully. So, I took a step back, not to walk away from my mission, but to deepen it.
In 2023, I felt a renewed pull to deepen my expertise and support others on a more comprehensive level, so I pursued certification in CBT-I. This added knowledge allowed me to bring together everything I’d learned, both about sleep and personal transformation into one cohesive approach. With fresh tools and a revitalized sense of purpose, I created Dream Big as a space where authentic living and restful sleep come together, honoring the full spectrum of healing.
At first, I tailored Dream Big to support professional moms facing sleep struggles and burnout, believing that narrowing my focus would help me reach more people. But as I tried to fit myself into the “right niche” for social media and marketing, I felt a growing disconnect. I realized that this approach didn’t align with who I am or why I started this journey in the first place.
So, I’m returning to my true calling, ignoring the trends and formulas, and embracing what I know to be real. Dream Big is here for anyone who feels disconnected, overwhelmed, or in need of true rest and self-reconnection, no labels, just an invitation to rediscover yourself.
Dream Big is the culmination of my journey, a place where restful sleep and deep self-discovery meet. My mission is to help people release what no longer serves them, reconnect with their true selves, and create lives filled with balance, peace, and authentic joy.
